Regarding my Metrolink comments
I might have been a little harsh I realize in retrospect. So many people I know work, either directly or indirectly, for the Metrolink that I worry they might read what I said and view it as insensitive. To my friends who work with Metrolink - I know you do great work and the atmosphere there must be really somber right now.

SEPTA vs Metrolink
Regarding the recent metrolink crash:
Say what you will about SEPTA back in Philly but I can’t remember one catastrophic deadly rail crash on the SEPTA regional rail in my entire lifetime, and there have now been two on the Metrolink in the 4 years that I’ve lived in LA. Just more proof that California really needs to get its ass in gear regarding transit.
